CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A family has been forced from their home after a house fire in north Charlotte. It happened on Frye Road around 3 on Tuesday afternoon.

30 firefighters got it under control in 20 minutes. There were no injuries, and a dog was saved from the home.

Neighbors talked with us about the fire. One woman says, “They saved the dog…because we can’t leave nobody behind. That’s how we are in this cul-de-sac. That’s just one big family.”

There’s no word how the fire started. The cause is under investigation.
