A dry and pleasant week ahead
No rain in sight as temperatures remain below average
After a stormy Saturday, the fall-like weather returns to the WCCB Charlotte viewing area. Tomorrow will feature highs in the mid to upper 70s in the Piedmont with mostly sunny skies. The High Country will top out in the upper 60s. Not only will the temperatures be below average, but so will the humidity! This is all thanks to a classic Carolina cold air damming setup. This helps to trap cooler and drier air into the Piedmont thanks to flow from the NE. This same pattern will hold on through Wednesday, helping to keep the early fall-like weather in place.
By the middle of the week, the pattern breaks down a bit, and we warm up Thursday and Friday. Even with this warm up, the humidity looks to stay at comfortable levels. With this low humidity, there is no rain in sight for the area. We will enjoy the nice days, but we are entering Carolina wildfire season, so we wonβt want to keep this around for too long.
The tropics also continue to play nice as we currently aren’t monitoring any areas of potential development! Get out there and enjoy the beautiful week ahead, and stay tuned to WCCB for the latest!
