One person is dead after a car crash in Chester County on Thursday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. on Sandy River Road near Baton Rouge Road, approximately nine miles west of Chester, South Carolina.
Troopers said a Chrysler Voyager was traveling north on Sandy River Road when it went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver was the sole occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were released. This crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
