CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Starbucks workers are taking legal action against the coffee chain over its new dress code. The workers say the company violated the law when it changed the dress code and refused to reimburse employees who had to buy new clothes. Some say the spent more than $100. A class-action lawsuit has been filed in Illinois and Colorado.
The company has said its dress code will create a sense of familiarity with customers and make stores more welcoming.
