NASA introduces new astronauts for mission to Mars

NASA has announced the 10 people selected from a pool of 8,000 applicants who will join the agency’s astronaut core.

This is another step in NASA’s race to return to the moon before attempting an unprecedented crewed mission to Mars. 

Some of the crew members could be headed to Mars in the future, and 10 new astronauts were announced Monday. 

During their two-year training, the astronauts will take classes in geology, water survival, and space health.
