Pedestrian hit and killed on Gilead Road in Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A fatal crash involving a pedestrian occurred early Friday morning on Gilead Road in Huntersville, police said.

The information below was provided in a news release from Huntersville Police.


On Friday, October 3, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Huntersville Police officers responded to a collision involving a pedestrian in the 10000 block of Gilead Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates an adult pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Gilead Road. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

At this stage, the investigation is ongoing, and no determination has been made regarding factors that contributed to this collision. The roadway was impacted during the investigation and has since been cleared.
