One shot, killed near South Park Mall

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a homicide in South Charlotte.

Police say they believe someone was shot near South Park Mall on Barclay Downs Road around 7:30 Monday morning.

Medic confirms one person was taken to the hospital and died.
