Warm & windy days ahead
A cold front will cut down temperatures by the end of the week, but don't expect any meaningful rain chances over the next five days.
The good times continue their roll into the second day of the workweek after a magnificent Monday. Highs will once again cruise near 80° this Tuesday afternoon as abundant sunshine maintains its foothold on the Carolinas. Expect more of the same on Wednesday as stiff breezes continue to flow in from the northeast. A cold front will approach from the north by Thursday morning; while this will cut down temperatures through the final two days of the workweek, it won’t bring any appreciable rain chances. Lows will dip into the 30s, 40s, and lower 50s Friday morning as elevations above 3500′ see another round of frost.
Highs will briefly fall into the mid-70s across the Piedmont and Foothills on Friday before the mercury recovers this weekend. Saturday and Sunday look very similar to what we’re seeing today and tomorrow as highs once again rise near 80°. More clouds may build in by the second half of the weekend as another cold front pushes in from the west. This system could bring some strong storms to portions of the Southeast on Sunday and Monday; we’ll keep you weather-wise as the forecast becomes clearer.
