Sunshine returns this week
Picture perfect weather returns Monday
If youβre a fan of sunshine and fall temperatures, you’re in luck! Β Before we get to that beautiful weather, we will continue to dodge a few showers this evening. Gusty winds will accompany these showers with sustained winds near 20 mph. Gusts will get as high as 30+ mph in the Piedmont, and near 50 mph in the High Country, where a wind advisory is in effect. Any rain will clear out by midnight, and winds will subside by Monday afternoon.
Tomorrow morning could be one of the coldest of the season so far, with lows in the 40s in the Piedmont, and 30s in the High Country. Wind chill values will likely even dip into the 20s for our High Country communities! By Monday afternoon, highs get near 70 in the Piedmont, and the upper 50s in the High Country. This same trend of cool mornings and slightly below average afternoon temperatures holds through the week ahead, outside of a brief Tuesday warm up to average highs.
There looks to be no real chance of rain through at least the next 5 days after tonight’s showers. With this, wildfire concerns could rise this week as more dry weather combines with worsening drought conditions. Make sure to stick with the WCCB weather team as we keep you weatherwise!
