Officers seize drugs, guns in north Charlotte traffic stops
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD has seized multiple firearms and narcotics via traffic stops in north Charlotte.
On Oct. 12, officers conducted a traffic stop on North Tryon Street. While conducting a weapon frisk, police said they located marijuana, MDMA, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
The driver, 36-year-old Anthony Carter, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Possession of Marijuana
- Resist, Delay, Obstruct
During another traffic stop on Oct. 13 on West Sugar Creek Road, officers said an occupant, 23-year-old Hailey Woelk-Snyder, was found with suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Woelk-Snyder was charged with Trafficking a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Oct. 16, officers conducted another traffic stop on North Tryon Street for an expired and fictitious paper registration plate. While searching the vehicle, police said they seized suspected cocaine and a reported stolen firearm.
The driver, 45-year-old Jamerson Bobo, was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
