One person is dead after a homicide in west Charlotte early Saturday morning.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Old Plank Road near McGinn Grove Drive.
When police arrived, they located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
There is no word on the victim’s name or any arrests at this time.
The shooting is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-8477 and speak to a Homicide Unit detective.
