Rain for some overnight
Sunshine returns this week
Cloud cover has increased across the WCCB Charlotte viewing area as some rain is possible overnight. Scattered showers will be possible mainly east of I-77 this evening and into the overnight. By tomorrow morning the rain will be moving out, but expect chilly temperatures with lows tonight in the low to mid 40s. By Monday afternoon, the beautiful weather resumes with plentiful sunshine. Highs will be in the mid 60s for the Piedmont, and mid 50s in the High Country.
The week ahead will feature chilly mornings, and seasonable afternoons. The weather will be about as good as it can be for any outdoor activities, and those fall fits. Sunshine looks to be plentiful, howeverΒ I will caution that the dry weather will likely elevate our fire danger through this week. Low humidity, no rain, ongoing drought and even some breezy days are all fuel for wildfires. So make sure to use caution when doing any burning!
There are some signs of rain by next weekend. The details are still up in the air, but confidence is increasing that a cold front will pass through sometime Saturday or Sunday of this week. This looks to be followed by a likely push of below average temperatures in the 7-10 day range. Have a terrific first week of November, and enjoy the beautiful weather!
