Are people overreacting to Mariah Carey’s new ad with Sephora?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Some people are boycotting Sephora following the makeup brand’s new ad with Mariah Carey. The collab is for Carey’s annual “It’s Time” Christmas posts. In the video, Mariah argues with a Christmas elf, who complains about being overworked. The elf then tells the pop diva that they are going on strike. The elf also apparently sells some of her Sephora makeup products to afford “elf therapy.” Some are frustrated about the messaging, saying that it made fun of people’s desire for healthcare and mocked workers who strike.
