CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was killed in a crash on I-485 outer loop in north Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 2:45pm at mile marker 21 which is near the I-77 interchange.
MEDIC said one person was pronounced dead on the scene.
Traffic will be impacted for hours as the four left lanes of travel are closed two miles past Exit 23C (I-77 interchange).
Officials say all lanes are expected to reopen by 5pm.
