The Edge: Drone tries to deliver crab legs to prison
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Authorities in South Carolina say they foiled an attempt to smuggle crab legs into a prison — using a drone. Officials said it was an attempted drone drop at the Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville on Sunday. Along with the crab legs, there was also steak, Old Bay seasoning, and cigarettes. Other items in the delivery package included two large bags of marijuana, some loose tobacco, and other contraband. A South Carolina Department of Corrections spokesperson said the items were wrapped in a Piggly Wiggly grocery bag.
