Family, Friends desperately searching for missing Charlotte mom
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Family, friends and authorities are searching for a missing Charlotte mother who hasn’t been seen since December 4th. Her family says Frezja Matisse Baker was last seen on Lasalle Street just before 10:00pm last Thursday.
Loved ones spent Wednesday evening passing out flyers on Beatties Ford Road near where the 31-year-old was last seen.
“Her messages wasn’t being delivered, no phone calls was going through,” Peaches Johnson, Baker’s close friend said. “It’s not like her to not call her son like she called her son every day, every night before he goes to sleep and we just knew something was wrong.”
Her loved ones say she was last seen with a man who they consider an acquaintance. Police say Baker was seen driving her gray blue 2004 Honda Accord, displaying South Carolina Temporary License Plate HBL5984A Thursday night.
“They got in a fight Thursday night, and we have witnesses stating that there was an argument that took place [with a man] but we don’t know the extent of the argument,” Johnson said.
Baker was last seen wearing a black, long sleeve shirt with “Panthers” written on the chest in white and blue, dark colored leggings and white shoes. She was carrying a black purse with a gold-colored strap.
Family members are concerned for Ms. Baker’s well-being and are seeking information on her whereabouts. She has a two year old son.
“We’re just pleading to help for the community, the public, to help us. So right now, we just we don’t want to think of the worst, but we hoping for the best,” Johnson said.
Anyone with information on Ms. Baker’s location or her vehicle’s location are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
