The U.S. Men’s National Team will take on Senegal in Charlotte in May of next year in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.
The match will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31 at Bank of America Stadium. It was one of four matches announced Thursday, as the United States gears up to host the World Cup for the first time since 1994.
“We are so happy to have such a great team in Senegal as our fourth opponent in the matches leading up into the tournament,” USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino said. “In the year leading up to the World Cup, we will have played at least one team from five different confederations which is incredibly valuable for our preparations. We are looking forward to an amazing crowd in Charlotte.”
Tickets for the match are on-sale now and can be purchased HERE.
It will be the second-ever match for the USMNT in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium. The squad first played in Charlotte on July 2, 2023 in a 6-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Gold Cup group play.
In addition to playing Senegal, the USMNT will also host Belgium on March 28 and Portugal on March 31 in Atlanta. The USA’s pre-World Cup schedule concludes with a match against Germany on June 6 in Chicago.
The United States were drawn into Group D and will play Paraguay, Australia, and the winner of the UEFA Playoff C (Kosovo, Romania, Slovakia, or Turkey).
