The Edge: HOA fines homeowner over Christmas light display
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A true nightmare before Christmas. A Maryland family has been slapped with a $650 fine over their Christmas light decorations. This, despite neighbors loving the display. A lawyer for the Homeowners Association sent the family a letter saying they were violating nuisance rules. The letter also said the family would be fined $50 per day. The homeowner feels as though he is being targeted, because neighbors also have light displays but have not been fined. Do you think the lights are a nuisance?
