BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (News Release) — On November 21, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of alleged sexual abuse. An investigation was initiated, which ultimately led to the arrest of Brian Copeland Deal on December 13, 2025.
Deal has been charged with six counts of Felony Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child. He was taken before the Burke County Magistrate, where he was ordered held without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 15, 2025.
