MORGANTON, N.C. (News Release) — On December 8, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received a Cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The York County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation prior to the case being turned over to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office. The Burke County Sheriff’s Office continued the investigation, which led to the search of 2501 NC 18-US 64, Lot 1, the known address of registered sex offender Joshua Adam Bullard.
Bullard was then arrested for Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Bullard was taken to the Burke County Magistrate, where he received a $500,000 secured bond, and his first appearance was set for December 11, 2025. He appeared in court for his first appearance, and his next court date was set for January 5, 2026.
