The Edge: Greg Biffle’s impact in sports and beyond
STATESVILLE, N.C. – NASCAR Hall of Fame nominee Greg Biffle, his wife, and their 2 children were among 7 people killed in a plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport. Though officials have not yet determined the official cause of that crash, it is being reported that they were attempting to land in foggy weather.
In recent years, Biffle became known for philanthropic work through his Greg Biffle Foundation. He also offered a lot of assistance with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Biffle was a registered pilot and used his helicopter to take supplies to Western North Carolina in the aftermath of the devastating storm.
