1 dead, one critically injured in fire at NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin’s parents’ home
The fire is currently under investigation
GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (WCCB) — One person has died and another seriously injured in a house fire at a property connected to NASCAR star Denny Hamlin.
Multiple Gaston County fire departments responded to the scene of a house fire Sunday evening on Blacksnake Road in Stanley. The two occupants of the home were transported to the hospital.
One victim later died and the other victim remains in critical condition, according to Mike Mitchum of Gaston County Emergency Management.
Tax records connect the property to NASCAR star Denny Hamlin’s father, Dennis Hamlin.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Gaston County Emergency Management and Fire Services along with the Gaston County Police Department.
