Local murder suspect accidentally released from jail

WADESBORO, N.C. – A Wadesboro murder suspect is back behind bars after what authorities are calling a miscommunication that led to his release. Monroe Police arrested Davon Ramsey on Sunday. He was wanted for murder and attempted murder charges out of Anson County. Chesterfield County authorities arrested Ramsey on December 2, but released him after North Carolina officials failed to pick him up for extradition. Ramsey waived extradition. By law he could only be held for 20 days. Officials say he was out of jail for about a day before being re-arrested.
