Sycamore Brewing changes LLC name to ‘Club West Brewing’

Sycamore Brewing is changing its name, according to state records.

The name was legally changed to “Club West Brewing” on Wednesday with co-founder Sarah Louise Taylor listed as the managing member.

The rebrand comes less than a month after its former co-owner, 44-year-old Justin Brigham, was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Stanly County home and raping a 13-year-old child.

The brewery closed its doors on Monday, Jan. 5. Taylor said it was to “allow space for processing, healing, and beginning the work of reimagining this community space.”

Sycamore Brewing had plans to relocate to the Cotswold Shopping Center but its lease for that space has been terminated.
