CHARLOTTE, N.C. β One person died and two others were injured following a shooting in south Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police say it happened near I-77 and Remount Road. Around midnight, officers responded to Atrium Health Mercy where they learned that 20-year-old Trevohn Marshall suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to Atrium Main. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Two additional victims suffered gunshot wounds and were at Novant Presbyterian. They are in serious condition, police said.
No arrests have been made at this time. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-8477.
