Body found after fire in northwest Charlotte

One person is dead after a fire in northwest Charlotte.

Charlotte Fire responded to a home on Oakdale Road around 9 p.m. Saturday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Medic said.

The fire was contained in under 20 minutes, and no firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
