Man in court for alleged kidnapping in South Carolina

CHESTER, S.C. – A man is expected to appear in court on kidnapping charges.

D’arrius Edwards is accused of trying to kidnap a student from Chester Park School Complex back in October.

Investigators say he crashed a vehicle and ran towards the school. He then used his head to break a classroom window and grabbed a student and pulled them through the window.

Edwards was caught and the child wasn’t harmed.
