18-year-old, 2 minors arrested in Albemarle homicide

An 18-year-old and two minors have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in Albemarle on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday near South Bell Avenue and Inger Street. Upon arrival, officers located a minor suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, police arrested two minors and 18-year-old Emmanuel Wilson. The minors have been charged with first-degree murder and received no bond. Wilson was charged with accessory after the fact and received a $20,000 bond.

Police said the victim and the suspects knew each other and that it wasn’t a random act of violence.
