CMPD investigating after pedestrian hit on Central Ave., taken to hospital

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An investigation is underway in east Charlotte after someone was hit by a car on Central Avenue.

It happened around 6:30 Monday night in front of the Circle K gas station near Rosehaven Drive. Westbound lanes of Central were closed off while police worked the scene. One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There’s no word yet whether any charges will be filed.
