CATS suspends all services Sunday due to snowstorm

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has suspended all of its services on Sunday, Feb. 1, due to the snowstorm that hit the Charlotte area.

Officials said Saturday that they intended to resume operations on select services at 10 a.m. today, but the road conditions are too hazardous to resume service.

Blue Line and bus routes were suspended midday Saturday due to deteriorating travel conditions. Gold Line and CATS Micro were suspended all day Saturday.

The CATS team is working to clear station platforms, bus stops, garages, and transit centers to resume select services on Monday. An update on the resumption of service will be given this afternoon.

For questions or concerns, community members can speak to CATS customer service at 704-336-7433. Customers can also download the free CATS Pass app and monitor for any changes to those schedules.
