Mecklenburg County Health issues Measles exposure notice

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC – The Department posted the notice on their website this morning.

It in part reads as follows:

“Mecklenburg County Public Health is issuing a measles exposure notice for the following locations and times:

  • Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (1000 Blythe Blvd.) on Feb. 3, 6:30-11:30 p.m. and Feb. 4, 7 p.m. to midnight (Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital is not impacted by this exposure)
  • Chipotle (239 S. Kings Drive) on Feb. 3, 9:50-11:50 p.m.
  • Goodwill (58085 University Point Blvd.) on Feb. 4, noon to 3:45 p.m.
  • Goodwill (3710 W. W.T. Harris Blvd.) on Feb. 4, 2-4:40 p.m.

If you were at these locations during those dates and times, you should monitor for symptoms and learn what to do after a potential measles exposure. These locations were not the source of infection and are now safe to visit. They are working with public health on the investigation.

These exposures aren’t linked to any cases in Mecklenburg County – it is linked to a case from another jurisdiction. There are currently three reported cases of measles in Mecklenburg County.”
