Early voting kicks off today in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -Early in-person voting for the 2026 primary election in North Carolina is underway.

Voters will decide who will face off in the midterm general election in November.

Unlike Election Day, voters are not assigned a specific polling place during the in-person early voting period.

However, you can only vote in the county in which you are registered.
While the official deadline to register to vote was Feb. 6, people can still register to vote in person during the early voting period.
Voters can cast their ballots through Saturday, Feb. 28.
