Ring ends partnership with Flock Safety after Super Bowl ad backlash
Ring is responding after its Super Bowl commercial got a lot of people talking.
The ad touted new features using AI facial recognition to find lost pets. But many customers and even lawmakers voiced concern about the feature in relation to Ring’s partnership with law enforcement agencies via Flock.
That company shares video with law enforcement agencies that requested it, sparking privacy worries.
Now, Ring says it is ending that partnership.
