Spring-like weather returns this week
Tracking well above average temperatures
Spring fans are in for a treat this week. But first showers will linger throughout the area through the early hours of tonight. Rain totals today have been in the 1-2 inch range for most of us. While it has been a bad day for outdoor activities, this has been a great way to catch up on much-needed rainfall. Rain will begin to become more scattered tonight, and we will be mostly dry by midnight. Tomorrow morning will be chilly with temperatures in the low 40s for most. Through the day, sunshine returns in a big way, and we warm up in the low to mid 60s.
This starts a week of spring-like weather with even shorts and T-shirt weather possible by the end of the week. There will be clouds from time to time, but we will stay dry through Wednesday. Temperatures will remain above average with highs climbing into the upper 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday warm up even further with temperatures soaring into the 70s! Although rain chances will also slowly rise in this period. It looks far from a washout, but we may need to dodge a few showers or even a thunderstorm towards the end of next week.
Make sure to get outside and enjoy one of the nicest weeks we’ve seen in over a month. Stay tuned to the WCCB weather team for the latest!
