Suspect accused of trying to kidnap a girl inside Walmart in Lincolnton

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – A man is accused of trying to kidnap a young girl at the Lincolnton Walmart.

This happened around 8 p.m. Friday night. 

Police say 25-year-old Tristan Coleman grabbed a girl inside the Walmart on North Generals Boulevard and tried to get her to leave with him.

Coleman is also accused of taking a private photo of the girl he tried to kidnap and assaulting a second girl. 

Coleman left the scene but was later arrested. He is charged with attempted kidnapping, taking indecent liberties with a child, and assault on a female.

A judge will set a bond on Monday.
