Udderly in love: Couple weds at ice cream shop

A New Bern couple is proving love can be really sweet.

Nineteen-year-old Reagan Baker and 18-year-old Isaiah McKinley exchanged vows last week at the Cow Cafe.

The couple says the ice cream shop has always had a special place in their hearts. So when it was time to say “I do,” they knew exactly where to do it.

“But our first date was at Cow Cafe and so it’s always had like a really special place in both of our hearts,” Baker said. “He used to come here with his grandma all the time when he was little. She worked at the law firm across the street.”

“We’re just like ‘oh yeah, we got married at the Cow Cafe,’ and they’re like, ‘what?’” McKinley said. “Because you wouldn’t think to get married in an ice cream parlor.”

An unconventional wedding venue but the couple says they felt like it was the perfect fit.
