CHARLOTTE, N.C.–Remember when being grounded meant no TV, no mall, no riding your bike with friends? Simple times. But now? Kidsβ entire social lives are on their phones β group chats, gaming, FaceTime, TikTok. So when you say, βYouβre grounded!β β¦ grounded from what exactly? The Wi-Fi? The charger? Oxygen? This morning weβre asking: Does grounding even work anymore β or do parents need a whole new playbook?
