A four-year-old child and a teenager are dead after a shooting in Rock Hill on Tuesday night, according to the Rock Hill Police Department.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. at a home on Frank Street near Haynes Street. When police arrived, they located two men, a 19-year-old and a 34-year-old, and a four-year-old child suffering from gunshot wounds.
The shooting began when the 19-year-old and 34-year-old Cedric Creighton had an altercation and they both exchanged gunfire in the home, police said. The shooting continued as the two left the home with all three being hit by gunfire, according to police.
The child and the teenager died as a result of their injuries. Creighton is being treated at a nearby hospital for his injuries.
Creighton is charged with two counts of murder, possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain crimes. Upon his release from the hospital, he will be taken to the Rock Hill Jail.
