Magnitude 3.0 earthquake recorded outside of Columbia, South Carolina
No damage has been reported, but many felt the quake
COLUMBIA, S.C. — An estimated 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey over Lake Murray at 12:17 pm Thursday.
This is right outside of Columbia, South Carolina. Many people, including those working at the National Weather Service felt the shaking.
A magnitude 3 earthquake is often felt, but does not cause damage.
