2 charged with felony child abuse after baby tests positive for narcotics
LINCOLN CO., N..C – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Alyssa Woody and Brandon Treadway and charged with them with felony negligent child abuse.
They say the two exposed a 19-month-old child to narcotics. Officials say they were contacted by hospital staff, who told them the baby tested positive for drugs. That child, who will not be identified for her own safety and privacy, is expected to make a full recovery.
Woody and Treadway, both 24 years old, remain behind bars without bond.
