The Edge: Harvey Weinstein whines about his jail experience
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein says life behind bars at Rikers Island is “hell.” In a new interview, Weinstein claims another inmate punched him in the face while he was waiting to use the phone. He says the blow knocked him to the floor and left him bleeding. The 73-year-old says he spends 23 hours a day in his cell, rarely interacting with anyone besides guards and nurses because officials believe it’s too dangerous for him to mix with the general population. More than 80 women accused the former movie executive of sexual misconduct.
