Fort Mill School District passes resolution demanding McMaster shut down Silfab Solar

FORT MILL, S.C. – The Fort Mill School District passed a resolution calling for South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to shut down the Silfab Solar plant in York County. This comes after two recent minor chemical spills at the facility, which is adjacent to Flint Hill Elementary.

Federal and state environmental officials have already deemed those minor spills to be non-issues, and consistent with normal operation. The school district chose to cancel classes at Flint Hill twice last week, even though they were given the all-clear by Silfab and environmental experts.
