CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gen Z is supposed to be the most progressive generation ever, but a new study is raising some serious eyebrows.

A global survey found about one in three Gen Z men believe a wife should obey her husband. Researchers looked at more than 23,000 people across nearly 30 countries. Experts say the results point to some young men embracing old-school gender roles.

Researchers say factors like economic stress, dating frustrations, and social media “manosphere” culture could be influencing those views.
