1 hurt in Huntersville house fire

Investigators say one person is hurt after a house fire in Huntersville.

It began around 6 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the garage of this home on Flemington Road. Crews say that fire is now under control, but it spread to the attic before it was put out. 

Medic took one person to the hospital. We’re told they have minor injuries.

The family of the home has been displaced. Huntersville Fire said the home sustained extensive loss.
