The Edge: Will you pay for a Relax Row on a United flight?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Say goodbye to fighting over the armrest, and hello to stretching out mid-flight. United Airlines is rolling out a brand-new concept called “Relax Row.” Three economy seats convert into a couch, giving passengers room to actually lie down at 35,000 feet.

The rollout is expected to begin in 2027, with plans to bring the feature to more than 200 widebody planes by the end of the decade.

Pricing will be released at a later date.
