17-year-old wanted after deadly shooting in Pageland, deputies say

PAGELAND, S.C. – Deputies are looking for a 17-year-old wanted in connection to a deadly shooting in Pageland on Saturday, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeremiah J. Lockhart is wanted for the murder of another 17-year-old juvenile.

Deputies responded to North Pearl Street in Pageland on Saturday where the victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital in Monroe where he later died.

Throughout the investigation, deputies learned that the shooting happened nearby off CW Baker Circle and involved multiple individuals. Deputies said they identified Lockhart as the suspect responsible for the shooting.

“This is a tragic case involving the loss of a young life,” said Sheriff Cambo Streater. “We are committed to bringing the individual responsible to justice and ask the public to assist us by sharing any information they may have.”

Additional charges against Lockhart are forthcoming, deputies said.
