Woman arrested in stabbing of pregnant woman in Harris Teeter parking lot
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The woman accused of stabbing a pregnant woman at a south Charlotte Harris Teeter has been arrested. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say Marvina Marie Hardy of Waxhaw was caught in Florida after numerous tips from the community.
The incident happened about two weeks ago at the Harris Teeter location in the Cotswold Village Shopping Center off of Sharon Amity Road. 40-year-old Hardy was identified through surveillance video taken inside the grocery store.
The pregnant woman Hardy is accused of stabbing in the parking lot is expected to be okay.
Hardy is in custody in Flagler Co., Florida and will be extradited to Charlotte. Once here, she will be charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill / Inflict Serious Injury and Battery of an Unborn Child.
