Police searching for local gun shop thieves who may have been startled by sensor light inside the store
CORNELIUS, N.C. – Cornelius Police are looking for four male suspects who broke into a local gun shop. Investigators say it happened around 2AM Tuesday morning at Harrison Precision on Old Statesville Road. Police say four people broke into the business and stole four older-model shotguns. They were inside the store for approximately 30 seconds, and left perhaps because they were startled by a motion-activated light.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects. Detectives say two of the suspects who handled the firearms wore gloves, while the other two avoided touching anything inside the store.
They left in a silver Hyundai Sonata. If you have any information that could help officers track those people down, call Cornelius Police or Crime Stoppers at 704-896-8767.
