Police arrested one suspect after a reported disturbance at Birkdale Village on Saturday night, according to the Huntersville Police Department.
Around 7:30 p.m., police responded to the Huntersville shopping center after receiving a report of a disturbance between patrons.
Police said 38-year-old James Harrison III threatened another person and pointed a firearm at them during an argument. A loaded handgun was recovered at the scene, but there was no evidence any shots were fired, according to police.
Harrison was charged with assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats.
In February, a curfew was enforced at Birkdale Village after a video surfaced on social media showing a large group of teens jumping on cars and blocking traffic.
