Teenager injured in shooting at Charlotte-Douglas Airport Overlook

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that seriously injured a teen girl at the Airport Overlook.

Officers say they responded to the Overlook shortly after 2am on May 29th in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, investigators located a 17-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a police report.

Police say the teen was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
